Youth disengagement presents the third dimension of this crisis, with 8.3% unemployment and approximately 17,000 "hidden youth" disconnected from mainstream education or employment pathways.
YOUTH-AT-RISK
The senior population faces equally challenging circumstances, with employment rates of just 35.5% despite government incentives. Many seniors are relegated to physically demanding roles in cleaning or manual labour, lacking dignified alternatives that value their experience and interpersonal skills.
