Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

I was sentenced to a year incarceration in 2014 for drug consumption and was released from jail in 2016. Jail was the best thing that have happened to me during this period. My health restored, my brains functioning and my walk with God have also peaked.

There are no coincidence in life. Only God ordained plans. I have been a boss since 23 and I never thought had much leaders around me. I lived as I pleased. Existential fears took hold of me when I was admitted, but God came to the rescue. 

I was reminded otherwise that I do have leaders around me when I was younger. In prison, there was an officer whom I didn’t communicated much but his presence have shown to me that God, thru Fairfield was there for me in prison. I survived thru the 8 months reassured of God’s faithfulness through knowing that Fairfield was there. The comfort was there. I finished my bible twice and did my outreach there.

When I was released to Teen Challenge for remaining 4 months, I was sent to Full Gospel Assembly Church. Here God told me that the prison officer was not a coincidence. Its God’s plan. He sent another leader of mine to remove my doubt completely. I cried profusely on the day I saw this 2nd leader in FGA. God showed me that He have fulfilled His promise to me.

To me, the only few leaders in my life that have been etched into my brains are those when I was young. And the possibilities of coincidence is smaller that I can possibly fathomed. Thank you my BB squad leader, Beng Huat, for your presence have sparked to revived my walk back with God. Thank you David for your reassuring presence and your model life will be something I will possibly look forward to emulate one day should I have a family. Thank you God for you have been with my every step of my walk through such dark valleys. May this be a small offering for your faithfulness. 

For those that is going through the path, know that God is always there before you. This two gentlemen here were God sent as the "Rod & Staff" in my dark road in prison.
